A great mic hosted by Pudge. It's a great room and over all very friendly and supportive to newbies, with all sorts of styles and personalities (and there are definitely some personalities here). The regulars are friendly and open to new folks; no clique-y bullshit here. Get there early to sign up for the 5pm, or email ahead for the 7pm riff/rant mic. Spots go quick!
Pudge runs a great mic! One of the busiest in town, there are always a lot of people around. The bartender is nice and drinks are reasonably priced (important cause one drink is the price for stage time).
i like this mic. Pudge is a good host, friendly & supportive. No "hater" comics here like many places. Nice bar upstairs, nice bright red light to signal its time to get the fuck off stage (which somehow people don't see or some of which who ignore it to get a quick joke in there!) ((jerks)) ;)
great mic. Pudge is a real cool guy & so are most of the regulars: Chris D, Brian J, Kostantine & his sis, Dave Greek, etc. No haters here! Positive vibes 99.4% of the time. Real nice lookin lounge upstairs too with good drink prices. As a new comedian, i've so far only had good experiences here. I also like that they have a nice big red light for your last minute warning versus other mics where they wave a cell phone at you like its a fuckin candle at a INXS concert
this mic. you've run right into it. any time you have cliques there are gonna be haters ie "I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at this guy". the host is a burly kind of funny dude. there's a japanese guy that would make a great talk show host with his oddly deep voice. if you don't have anything better to do, I'd go to this mic, but prepare to hang out!
Hit this mic for the first time yesterday, good supportive crowd of comics. Eric is a good host, room is run fairly. One downside is that most comics split right after their set, really thins the crowd. Definitely worth the haul!
Love this room! Brian Jian (the "not Japanese" guy) is great, as is Chris D. It's always nice to see friendly faces in the crowd. It is a great supportive room, BUT the downside is that they don't require you to stay the whole show like some of the mics do, and if you are one of the last up, you are playing to an empty room which kinda defeats the purpose of going. It IS a great mic other than that!
Very Supportive room,ane they are giving away spots to a show to the best open mic comic that night!! I have been to quite a few open mics in the city, but this one is a must!!! the host is jolly and funny, and drinks are cheap. I will be returning soon to this mic, so I can try to win a free spot!! (I hate bringers).

Thank God Pudge is back running the mic. He runs a very fare mic, very smooth and does'nt hog up time on stage. And NO, its definately not cliquey or douchey open mic. He actually cares about the comedy game and has always answerd all of my questions about it. A good mic to start off the week!
