The mic is kinda dope. It's in the Jan Hus Presbyterian Church/homeless outreach spot. The stage is a real legit 5 feet above the crowd stage. Lighting is nice. Crowd is supportive.
The only problem is that hack homeless jokes might not be too welcome here, seeing as a notable part of this place serves the homeless and downtrodden.
And you might be able to do 10-20 minutes if the comedian turn out is light.
I didn't hear any hack homeless humor, but I did see nothing but derivative bodily function material. Not that the jan hus theater is to blame for that. kindly people, nice little nook to try out stuff.
Did this a couple weeks ago. Cool venue. There weren't many people there so everyone got 11 minutes! As for who was there, it was a good group of people- funny and nice. I even went to see a show with some of them after.
This historic stage has a great feel to it and the atmosphere is very supportive...Tell your friends!
