Did this open mic for the first time last night, very cool indeed! Sharon (Man, I hope I remembered her name correctly) kept things going with a smile on her face. All had a good time.
This mic is God awful. The word room is weird for an open mic. Especially when there's on;y 15 or so jaded comics reading notes and whispering during your set. The host is nice but the mic is not very good.
the host was awesome and friendly. the other comedians were supportive. it had more comics than other open mics I went to. I guess the people above it are bashing it so that they can keep this good mic a well-kept secret? lol
Great mic! I've been to many open mics around the city and the comics and host Tuesday's seem more supportive than others I've attended especially at this venue. Still feel too many leave after their set, but...

ReplyDeleteThe hosts do a great job of staying positive and keeping the energy level up. When I went there were about 12 comics. The 7 minute spot is great.
