  1. This was my first time at this room. Had an awesome time; everyone was great and supportive. There was a real good positive vibe in the room. i'll be back...

  2. Great time! Although pulling comics name randomly is kinda annoying. It should be first sign-up, first go-on.

  3. I agree first sign-up first go on is the fair way to do it but Jeff is a good dude and so is Chris. The comics at these mics are very supportive and they give away a spot. Not much to complain about.

  4. How do these guys do it? Went to Wed. for the first time and the place was mobbed, just like Thursdays at Broadway. The first come first served results in comics leaving. I'd rather wait if need be and have an audience which there definitely was. It's cheap, friendly, and really supportive, def. going back!

  5. Not worth it, frankly the creek mic is so much better and you don't give money to the horrible man that is Jeff Lawrence

  6. The Creek? I aint going to Queens for an open mic. To do comedy in a crappy bar in front of hipster douche bags. NYCC might not be The Comic Strip but it's a rite of passage for any and all New York comics. And the LB mics rock!

  7. I went there twice - was an audience of about 20 - which is almost unheard of at most mics, and the other time there were enough comics who were attentive audience.

There's also a drawing to win spots. I have been to a few mics so far, and this is one room I can dig.

  8. 25 "regular audience" members last night. Rare to get that at an open mic. Good vibe...

  9. I was there when the 25 audience members walked in. The LB mics are always packed and the comics who come are attentive, friendly and supportive. Jeff and Chris are solid dudes.

  10. Great place. Did my first NY Open Mic and had a blast@LB. The room was very supportive. I got lucky and went up second. Stayed for the lottery and got a feature spot for the following week. Jeff and Chris are really cool guys. Good vibe overall. Worth the 5 Bucks

  11. This mic rocks and is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It's a real supportive vibe from the hosts to the other comics. There is usually a loyt of real audience as well.

  12. This is one of my top mics> Always a decent crowd and not just comics. They raffle of a spot at the end as well. Jeff and Chris are great hosts and best of all there's no drink requirement like at Broadway.

  13. Good mic with some quality comics. The no notes no cell phones rule when you are off-stage is key, and really forces people to listen.

  14. This is hands down the best Wednesday mic. There's not eb=ven a close second choice.

  15. Looking forward to getting on the showcases more. Only did one, not enough people showed up but Jeff was straight with me... Wait, um? Well, you get the point... He's a good dude who's willing to help. Club's small and there's a lot of chatter while the open-mic is going on but that also helps with crowd work (I think?) All the same... Show up, Go up and Support! Good Club!
